Running consecutive days
I’ve been wanting to try my local running club (Crystal Palace Fun Runners) for a while. Left work with plenty of time to make it today but somehow go caught up at home. Made it to the meeting point just to see everyone begin their run :( I’ll try to join them again next week. So, I decided to run by myself. No biggie as this is the way I’ve trained so far. Ran 6.4km today,...

adappersharp: If I could be serious for a moment, if there is one thing you reblog today, I would greatly appreciate it if it was this. Meet Jason and Adam. They’re going to be spending the next few weeks traveling “Around England By Any Means” for Cancer Research UK. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you about what Cancer Research does or the terrible nature of Cancer that almost anyone can...

Which is better...

Distance total
Just checked my running log and realised I’ve run 75 miles this year! That’s quite an achievement for me. This time last year I would not have even considered even running 1 mile let alone setting myself a running challenge for 2011. I’m starting to feel the benefits of training so will now try to step up the training. Longer distances and quicker pace (I WILL get a sub-55 at...

Endurance
Starting to build on my endurance by running longer distances once a week. I’m starting with 8 miles then increasing that each week until the 4th week where I’ll bring it back to 8 miles and start again etc. The plan is to stick to the shorter sessions too, as well as sticking to those intervals (urgh - they’re so difficult). Training update WE 1st May - 1 session, distance...

May 2011 update - summer is here
London has had a surprisingly sunny and dry April. Today is 1st May and the sun is STILL out, 18C although windy. It seems the summer has arrived. Summer is London is great as it puts everyone in a good mood and Londoners tend to be less rude! I usually find this a positive thing. Unfortunately, now that my free time seems to revolve around running schedules and race dates looming especially the...
